In 2007, Daniyar returned to Kazakhstan with a wealth of experience, joining Renaissance Capital and quickly ascending to leadership roles. His finance expertise continued growing as he transitioned into private equity, becoming the Director of Investments at a top firm, where he successfully navigated significant investments in telecoms and retail. Additionally, he founded the Kazakhstan Hong Development Fund, a $400 million initiative that drew significant investments from Hong Kong and the Kazakh government, further demonstrating his capacity for high-stakes financial management.
Daniyar's entrepreneurial spirit also led him into the media sector, where he founded Arai Media and Arai Production, rapidly establishing it as a critical player in Kazakhstan's media landscape. After divesting from this venture, he took over Basel Insurance and partnered with Everest Capital Management on a lucrative real estate development project in Almaty. Today, he continues to lead Basel Insurance as its sole shareholder, with the company being recognized for its strategic business growth and financial stability.
